Contemporary
Is a genre of dance performance that developed during the mid-twentieth century and has since grown to become one of the dominant genres for formally trained dancers worldwide. North Ballet Academy uses contemporary because it combines contract-release, floor work, fall and recover, and improvisation characteristics to create well rounded dancers.

Jazz
Is a style of dance developed in the mid 20th century. Students take jazz dance because it allows for more freedom of movement and helps improve artistry in a fast paced environment.

Tap

Uses the sound of the toes and heels striking the floor. This percussion rhythm is combined with interpretive body movement. This helps dancers improve balance, coordination, ankle strength, upper body poise, and rhythm.

Schedules, uniforms, instructors, and fee are subject to change at the discretion of the Academy staff.
Classes may be cancelled or rescheduled due to low enrollment.
Class placement is at the discretion of the instructor.
